General:

• Purpose: For rapid in-situ measurement of CBR (California Bearing Ratio), as per its inventor TRRL (Transport and Road Research Laboratory, U.K.).
• The DCP set is made of stainless steel and has provision for testing up to 1-meter depth.
• All parts, components, accessories, and fittings are brand new and of current production.

• Hammer:

  • Weight: 8 kg.
  • Free-fall height: 575 mm.

• Top & Bottom Rod:

  • Diameter: 16 mm.
  • Material: Non-magnetic stainless steel.

• Penetration Measuring Scale:

  • Height: 1.0 m.
  • Readability: 1 mm.
  • The scale is attached to a steel box of 40 mm x 40 mm, made of stainless steel.
  • The steel box is rigidly attached to the base plate.

• Base Plate:

  • Material: Mild steel.
  • Size: 200 mm x 150 mm.
  • Thickness: Not less than 25 mm.
  • A hole of 22 mm diameter is provided for passing the DCP cone conveniently.

• Cone:

  • Angle: 60°.
  • Diameter: 20 mm.
  • Material: Hardened material, ensuring the tip does not damage easily (after several uses on WBM layer).
  • The cone is replaceable and interchangeable.
  • There should be no gap between the cone and the rod after fixing.

• Anvil & Upper Handle:

  • Made of heat-treated non-magnetic steel.
  • All threads/joints should be of proper quality/type.

• Dumping Washer:

  • Made of non-magnetic stainless steel and fixed with the anvil.
  • A hole of 42 mm x 42 mm for passing the steel box conveniently.
